Tesamorelin
1. What is Tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is a synthetic peptide analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), made up of the 44 amino acids of natural GHRH with a modification that makes it more stable in the body.
2. How does it work?
Tesamorelin stimulates the pituitary gland to produce and release the body's own growth hormone, which in turn raises levels of IGF-1. As a prescription medicine (Egrifta), it is used to reduce excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy.
3. Research status
This product is supplied as a sterile lyophilized powder for research purposes only and is not intended for human consumption.
