1. What is IGF-1 LR3?

IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-1) is a modified version of the naturally occurring hormone IGF-1. It contains 83 amino acids, an arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13-amino-acid extension, which together make it much more stable and longer-lasting than natural IGF-1.

2. How does it work?

IGF-1 is the main hormone through which growth hormone produces many of its effects on tissue growth and repair. The LR3 modification reduces binding to IGF-binding proteins, which allows the peptide to stay active for longer. It is widely used in cell-culture and laboratory research on cell growth, muscle tissue and metabolism.
